This is a really easy salted caramel sauce without all the fuss of caramelising sugar. I know the salted caramel sauce lover in the house loves it!
Ingredients
1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
1 cup (215g) brown sugar
1/3 cup thicken cream
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1 tbsp sea salt
Method
Place butter and brown sugar in a small pot over low flames and stir with a silicone spatula until the caramel forms. Add the vanilla essence and sea salt and stir for a further 2 minutes over a low flame. Finally add the thicken cream and stir until well combined and a smooth caramel remains. Cool and store in a squeezy bottle for future use.
