This is a basic pizza dough recipe, there are many variations to this you can try.
This make 2 large pizza base
Ingredients
3/4 cup warm water
Pinch of caster sugar
1 tsp dry yeast
300g pizza flour (plain flour is also fine), plus extra for dusting
1/2 teaspoon salt
30ml olive oil
Method
Place warm water, pinch of sugar and yeast in a bowl and leave for 10-15 minutes. In the 4.8L KitchenAid bowl, place flour and add salt and virgin olive oil. Mix the dough using the dough hook and knead for 5-8 minutes. You can also do this by hand, make sure it is well kneaded, the final dough will be smooth and will bounce back when pressed. Cover with a damp towel and let stand in a warm place for about 2 hours. Flour your bench and hand knead dough for a couple of minutes and divide into 2 balls. Place in a tray and cover with a damp towel and let it rest for another 30 minutes before shaping and filling with your favour sauce, cheese and toppings.
